African Nomads

A tribute to the artistry of indigenous life

Like many artists before me, I am deeply moved by the beauty and authenticity of traditional African tribes — their colours, their art, their way of life in harmony with nature. The collection African Nomads is my homage to these ancient cultures — to their strength, elegance and creativity expressed through textile, ornament and ritual.

The three variations — Himba, Dogon and Berber — draw inspiration from the textiles and colour palettes of these nomadic peoples. Each tribe, living close to the earth, transforms nature’s gifts into adornment and protection: clay, plant dyes, hand-spun fibers and sun-baked tones that carry both function and poetry.

Tribal patterns were reinterpreted into a contemporary, graphic dessin, jacquard-knitted in undyed linen and cotton threads. The interplay of natural fibres and rhythmic motifs celebrates the beauty of these cultures — timeless, pure, and deeply connected to the land.

African Nomads is a dialogue between ancient craft and modern design — a journey through texture, symbolism and the shared language of making.
