The African Nomads Collection explores the quiet strength and refined simplicity of traditional African textile artistry.
Knitted in a natural blend of 50% linen and 50% mercerised GOTS-certified organic cotton, the pieces combine purity of fibre with the rhythm of graphic jacquard patterns inspired by tribal ornament and hand-crafted motifs.
The collection brings together dresses, palazzo pants, kimono-inspired cardigans and soft, versatile bandanas, each designed for ease of movement and understated elegance. The natural fibres offer a cool, breathable feel with a gentle drape, making the garments ideal for warm climates and layered dressing alike.
Three colour variations reflect the distinct palettes of nomadic African cultures:
Dogon — black softened by earthy neutrals
Himba — rusty clay tones paired with warm natural shades
Berber — luminous white combined with soft desert neutrals
Each variation brings a different expression of calm, grounded colour and understated contrast.
The jacquard motifs reinterpret traditional tribal symbols into a clean, contemporary graphic language. Rhythmic lines, geometric structures and subtle shifts in tone create a refined texture that feels both modern and deeply connected to its origins.
The silhouettes are relaxed yet precise: flowing dresses with an elegant drape, wide palazzo pants that move fluidly with the body, kimono shapes designed for effortless layering, and lightweight bandanas that add a soft accent of pattern and colour.
Knitted in small series in the Netherlands and finished by hand in the Studio Myr atelier, the African Nomads Collection reflects a dialogue between ancient craft and modern refinement — a study of natural fibres, quiet geometry and the timeless beauty of textile traditions.
